N frame revolver with 4” barrel recommended concealed carry holster

I have carried a 629 Mountain Gun in Kramer horsehide IWB that worked well. The horsehide is thinner than cow hide.

As others said, get a real gun belt. There are many good ones out there, don't skimp - buy a good one. If you don't, it won't matter what holster you get, you'll be miserable (I know!). Personally, I like the Kore belts with their ratcheting buckle system.

My thoughts on carrying an N-frame...
I have gone hunting in Africa and Alaska, I took only one handgun - a 629 Mountain Gun. I used the Kramer IWB when traveling between camps and when in town, and it worked fine.

I love the N-frame S&W and it is still as great a gun as it has ever been. I collect and shoot them.

However, my EDC is my P365 or Glock 27.

You can make a N frame work. I've carried one for a few miles.

Usually carry a 1911 but when I do carry a 57/657 4" it is in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard in town or a Simply Rugged Pancake in the woods. Both are carried at the 3:30-4:00 position...

As to a gun grab...happens when one open carries or to uniformed LEOs as the gun is visible...why would someone try and grab something they can't see or know is there...
