N Frame Spring Set

Hi:
I ordered a Wolff Spring Set for a "N" Frame.
The set contained a mainspring and three trigger return springs-#13lb, #14lb, and a #15lb.
The #13lb was too long for the housing?
I installed the Wolff Mainspring and #15lb trigger return spring.
Is this proper??

The 13 will work. It's long which makes it a PITA to install. You use a rebound spring that gives an acceptable trigger rebound with the mainspring you're using.

Hi Jimmy - Any of the 3 rebound springs will work OK. The question is how does it feel to you? If the action feels smooth & your satisfied, leave it alone and enjoy. The trigger should have positive fwd movement when it is released - if it drags or is slow to move fwd, you might need a stronger spring. Check for misfires with the new mainspring - sometimes it happens. Compare the primer indent with the old brass and the new fired brass. S/be positive indent with the new mainspring.
