Here are a few photos of a New Zealand Victory I picked up at the SWCA meeting courtesy of Charlie Flick, thanks Charlie. Neat gun with all matching numbers including the grips. Next quest is finding a Canadian marked Victory, RCAF markings would be a plus as my Dad served with them in WW2, anyone have one gathering dust? Judging by the photos I should have attended Terry's seminar on gun photography also. John

Hi John:

That is indeed a neat gun, and I was happy to have had it in my collection for years. I am glad that it has found a new home in your collection now. I think it was the only NZ gun at the Show.

Hi Charlie, I think you are right, while everyone else were distracted by the Registered Magnums I cunningly scoured the room for a NZ Victory and was glad to find yours. Thanks also to Ed C. for has sage advice on the gun. John SWCA #1586

HSGUY,

I have it's brother, at least a close relative...

Mine is marked "NZ 7609" on the rear grip frame, and has seen the same hard service, the grips appear to have been soaked in the same dark substance. It's a good shooter though.

canoeguy, thanks for the post. I think the grips may be soaked with cosmoline, perhaps if I put them out in the sun it will leach out. Is your gun import marked? Mine is marked Navy Arms in very small letters on the bottom of the barrel. John

HS,

Yes, mine is import marked from Navy Arms in the same place, actually better than most import marks, small letters, hard to see...

Here's a pic of mine with holster, lanyard and cleaning rod. The holster I believe to be correct for these revolvers, I think someone posted a picture here before of an Australian soldier using one.

Another Kiwi Victory

Navy Arms, & their offspring Gibbs Rifle Co., imported and sold a bunch of these NZ marked Victory Models in the mid-90s. I bought mine from Gibbs for the grand sum of $59.00......I should have bought ten of them!

Attached are a few photos of mine. It's probably the best shooter of all the revolvers I own.
