I'm just curious - maybe I'm the only one in the world of defense of the RKBA who never heard of this organization but their spokesman was on TV the other day claiming victory in the current New Mexico gun rights controversy. I sat up and said to myself. "Huh? Do what now? What? Who the heck are they?!".

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I am leery of "Pop-up" gun rights organizations.

I was at a Gun Rights of America (or a similar named organization) fund raiser, several years ago. The "Ohio" head guy was a serious jerk. All they did was raise money, talk big and take credit for everything the NRA's Legislative Branch did for the last several years. Lots of "talk talk" and not one action. A scam in sheep's clothing!

GOA is Gun Owners of America. I'm pretty sure.

YES! I recall that one, now.

So, apparently, I have stumbled upon a controversy in the world of gun rights organizations. As this is NOT directly a Second Amendment issue but a weird organizational issue I am leaving it in the lounge, as instructed by the moderators.

First, the NAGR is being given credit for the TRO in New Mexico:

But the controversy between the NAGR and the SAF seems to be intense.
