I'll be heading up there in the morning with another forum member. Looking forward to meeting some of you at the show....so what is the going 'fellow forum member buddy' discount these days?

I just got home from setup. My feelings aren't quite as glowing. I did OK, but I'm not overjoyed. I did buy a slightly used 329. As the story goes, only fired twice. First time the shooter couldn't believe it hurt that bad. Second shot he became a true believer.

I went with the express purpose of buying reloading components. I felt sorry for the usually nice vendor. He wasn't even being polite, and he didn't have much in stock. I wanted to buy 1000 9mm 147 grain hollow points. He didn't even have 100 of them. He wanted a fortune for primers. $31.99 per thousand! I didn't buy any.

One vendor did have a nickel HD, with a S62,660 serial #. He wanted $900 for it, and it looked like a renickel to me. A lot of K22s for sale. I think the common price was $550 each. 6", 8 3/8", it didn't matter.

Had a guy nibbling at my H H Heiser holster I have for sale. Its in nice condition, but its for a Woodsman. I have little use for that. Best thing about it is the large button.

Saw some prewar M70s. Prices high. Ammo prices were just outrageous. I did buy a box of 148 grain wadcutters. Not sure why. Maybe its the novelty of having factory watcutters.

Blake was there as was Doublesharp and GF, his sidekick. David Carroll was there also. Not much time to talk.

A lot of Randall knives, some at fair prices.

Does anyone ever see any of the Winchester 52 Sporter model .22 rifles at this show? If so, what could one
expect to pay for one of these in very good to excellent original condition? Thanks!

I refuse to guess prices on guns like that. There seems to be a disconnect between asking prices and reality.

Yesterday, I saw a very interesting gun. Interesting to me because I have one just like it, and mine is better (the wood.) Its a Browning 1776-1976 edition B78. The guy wanted $2500 for the gun alone, not presentation case, no knife, no medallion, no accessories. Another guy had a Browning bolt gun in .30-06, a factory beauty. He was asking $3400 for it. Outrageous. His gun, he has the right to ask what he wants, and to keep it forever.

The Winny M52s are getting expensive, too. Even the Japanese knock off marketed by the current Winchester owners are pricey. I'll look today and see if there are any around.

I've also got a line on a 4" TripleLock. If its original, I'll buy it (even though I swore off them a few years back.). I plan on making it one of my alternate carry guns.
