National Gun Day report -Y'all have missed a good one

Dub, that's a dandy little dozen gauge ya got there. I've got a question or two. Where and when was it made, and what's the value? Oh, and are ya gonna have it at the Feb.show?

He's either sleeping or baking bacon (he told us his secret method). As for producton dates, he was so worried he ran over and bought a Flaydermans guide. Current books were $35, but the out of date ones were $20. He figured they'd be wrong anyway, so he bought the old one. That told him it was made in the late 1970s. Value is up in the air. I offered him a $100 profit, but he turned me down. He says he's going to throw it in the bottom of his bass boat. He's weak, so looking at a profit he may be willing to sell by Feb.

The December show is traditionally lousy. Except for me, who picked up a 1950 Military a couple of years ago.

Now rburg if you want to start a flame war we will, you ol yard sale reprobate. I think you are losing it in this thread, you've insulted wal mart shoppers, Gf is gonna kick your butt and now you're about to piss me off. :D

You want to make a small fortune......
Start with a large one and listen to rburg....

Didn't you use to have a bragging tag line about owning a great percentage of the S&W Registered Magnums ever made?

And then you thought the time to liquidate was several years ago (tripled $$$ since then).......I'd be a bitter old man too if I left that much on the table.......:D:D:D

And here's how to make perfect bacon in the oven. My bacon pan is a stainless steel restaurant buffet pan about 3" deep. I use thick sliced hardwood smoked bacon that I buy at Aldi. Comes in 24 oz packages. My pan holds 14 slices divided equally to make 28 pieces. 4 rows of 7 pieces. Put in cold oven middle rack. Set oven to 400 and timer for 18 minutes. Pay attention while it's cooking because steam starts coming out of the top of my oven door at about 12 minutes. I wipe it with a paper towel. 20 minutes make it good and crisp but if you're going to save for later take out at 18 minutes and then microwave 15 seconds from the fridge. Drain on paper towels and drain the grease into a jar and store in the fridge to season with. When I don't have thick sliced bacon I usually double the slices or else cut the time but I make it a point to get premium thick sliced bacon. Nothing too good for me and my friends. :)
