Stumbled across this today. I have gone down the .357 Sig rabbit hole lately. German made, DA/SA, .357 Sig…a lot to like here. I will carry it occasionally.

I have a P226 357 that was a "used" NCSHP gun, that was never issued. Has the same badge marking on the top of the slide.

I messed up and did not buy one of the very few SHP marked P239's that were issued to the Governor's Security Detail (and possibly helicopter pilots).

Ladder 13 bought one of each.

I know that some of the helicopter guys carried the Beretta 8357.

Would love a P239. Might fit Smith 39XX holsters

For those interested, NC guys, Carolina Sporting Arms had the commemorative Smith 29-2(nickel) and Beretta 92 FS and 96. All NCSHP commemoratives. This is the only one that I took home.

I’ll take a pic of the 239 tomorrow, it looks unissued, had the factory oil on it.

In the meantime, both Bill and I, bought Beretta SHP shotguns as they transition to rifles.

Almost forgot Ryan. Picked this P239 NCSHP up at Lawmans in Raleigh.With box and 3 mags. Had the factory oil on it.

Any imperfection is lighting.
