Need A Driving Holster for Shield 2.0

Look for a RH strong side "neutral cant" holster, and wear it cross-draw. That's how I've used this old Hunter ( with several different snub nosed revolvers) for years while spending my many hours behind the wheel. :)

Ken Null makes a specialized driving holster called the VAM. It was designed for the RCMP and Secret Service and features a radical rake and a pull through snap. The gun rides butt down, just above the seat belt and a slight twist of the grip releases the snap. They're top quality, comfortable and extremely fast. He can probably build one for an M&P Shield.

It's not the cheapest way to go, but his prices are in line with other custom makers. Mine is for a 2" J frame.

Thanks everyone... Yes, I've looked at the Criss-Cross and it looks promising.

I'll call Ken Null and get an idea of how he can help me.

I guess I should have been more precise in my original post... But I've had this idea in my head about a kydex OWB clip on, but I'm still not convinced it will be secure enough compared to a belt holster...

My intent is to wear an IWB right side draw, AND the cross draw when driving. Then before I exit the vehicle, remove the cross draw and put the Shield in the IWB.

You guys are a big help... And thanks for the ideas...:)

Check out........Kirkpatrick Leather .... Model TCD "Texas Cross Draw"..... I've got two for my Beretta Compact/Centurion's and another for my S&W 6906....... for long road trips.....

Driving wear at 11 O-clock ..... concealed at gas stops/diners push back to 9 O'clock

I use an Enhanced Pancake holster from Lobo Leather for my Shield 45. It rides at 2:30-3:00 on my right side, and it rides above my seatbelt when driving. Easy to draw standing or setting down. If I know I'm in for a long drive, I often use an Alessi or DeSantis cross draw holster and my 2.5" model 66. Both are extremely comfortable. Even for my chubby arse.

I like a cross-draw holster for driving, but most of them do not conceal well when you are out of the car. Not that I really care about that; I do what needs to get done, and then I'm back in my vehicle and gone.
