Need a soft case

What are your recommendations for a soft case for an N-frame revolver with an 8 3/8 inch barrel? I need one in the next ten days for my new (used) Model 25-5. Thanks.

I have one similar to the one shown by chief38. Mine looks a little bigger than the one shown. I purchased it off ebay. Works very well with lot's of room for the long barrel.

The attache will not hold an 8-3/8" revolver.
I have one for my 617 with an optic. Just tried to fit my 8-3/8" 629.
It was a no-go.
Look for one of these:

Have you considered a laptop case? Not a bag per say, but one that is meant to zip around your laptop like a skin? I have one that is memory foarm that I've kept around to store guns in and it would be perfect.

I have a Large and it's a little too short. Extra Large should work for you. If you want to be sure, go for XX Large.

quick funny story as i have to go to work. i bought a 1982 Nickle 6" 586, LNIB and a Gen 1 Glock 17 also LNIB, neither ones had the factory 'mods' done to them...$200 each as he was dying from cancer and just wanted to get rid of them to someone who would appreciate them.

anyway the 586 he kept in one of the old time leather and sheepskin zipper bags, love them. i bought them both of course but when i got to try to put that 6" barrel into the one bag it would not go in!!! no matter how much i wiggled, pushed, etc it would not go into that rug!!!!

it came out, had to go back in. so i tentatively reached my fingers into the tapered end, half expecting a scorpion or black widow to be in their but i pull out a small box.

It was an unopened, 1972 date, pack of gas station condoms!!!! still had the plastic around it, cost a dime!!!! I was LMAO as this old guy had that stashed in there for an emergency. i found it on my way home and 2 weeks later i went over to ask him about it and to get a good story, but he had passed.

so who knows, hiding from his wife...not for that long, emergency then forgot? who knows, but i have the pack put up for safekeeping. funny as all get out to me!

as for bags, i use a Dewalt tool bag works great, cheap. small tackle box for parts/tools etc.

Another vote for Ace Case. They're offered in all sizes, and several different materials - leather, canvas, corduroy, other fabrics. I have several, give them a look.
