Need decode of this ammo box

Bought a few boxes of this a few years back, sold as 30-06, dimensionally it is the same as a commercial 30-06 round. What I'm trying to understand is if this is a standard load, or possibly a M2 loaded round.
It's pretty clean ammo, just not sure the what/where etc of the origin and loading info.
Pretty sure it's a military contract round.
The box holds 15 rounds.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I believe that it is 7.62x62mm (30-06), AMA = Danish Used in the M1s loaned and sold to Denmark after WW2. There are also Italian made M1s purchased by the Danes. Ammo made in 1972. HTH GB

Post #8 has a photo link to bandoleers in a wood crate. Yours probably has an AMA 72 headstamp. AMA is the Danish Government Arsenal (Ammunitionsarsenalet) located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Appears to be M2 ball ammo for the MI Garand.
