Need grip help

As you can see from my earlier post I have a new gun.
I need some help finding grips..
As I can't shoot any S&W or that style grip due to a bump on the
base of the thumb joint [ it hits the left bump on the top of the grip]
I need some other options ..
I can shoot Pacs and Hogue xframe on heave kickers with out pain
but would like to fit this with some good wood that fits me.
My ideal would be a grip that is rounded , not flat bottom and
maybe a palm swell or at least not fatter on the bottom.
also rounded at the top like Pacs to allow the top to seat
in the web of the hand not hit the thump joint.

I know I am long winded but this is a nickled 3 in M-25-14 and needs
something special..

It's just a WAG but your model 25 will have a round butt grip frame. I would suggest that you might want to take a look at the grip for the 625 JM. I found it to be a bit small for my hand but you might find it works for you.

BTW, if you are in Northern Ohio you should try giving Fin Feather and Fur a call, they just might have a 625 JM in stock that you could use to try out for size. You'll also find they have the best prices on ammo of any shop in Ohio and I'm including Walmart on that list.

If you find the 625 grip is a good fit you'll then have to call S&W and ask a CS rep to give you the SKU number for this grip. It's not listed in S&W's web store but they will sell unlisted items if you know the SKU number for hte item. In some cases it'll take a bit of diggeing and perhaps gentle begging but if you connect with the right CS rep they will help you out.

You may be able to modify a set of grips to fit your needs, but when it comes to a special set of grips you may want to get in touch with Keith Brown, he is a custom grip maker who is well respected here on the forum and right here in Ohio. If anyone could possibly fit a set of grips to your specs he could.

I believe Herrets still makes grips to order, using a tracing of your hand to make a grip (with palm swell) that precisely fits YOUR hand. I don't have their website address at hand (pun not intended), but a quick google search should turn it up. I would give them a call regarding your unique needs, I'd bet they can help you. They've been doing this since the '60s, never heard anything negative about them. BTW, Keith Brown makes some absolutely stunning grips, and I don't doubt he could make a set of grips that would both work for you and knock your eyes out at the same time!
