This might be a tough question but haven't found ANYTHING online that is a help so far...

Story is that my Dad's daughter(my half sister) found this knife back in the early 60's under a rock overhang along Bear Swamp Creek in New Jersey. She was only 11 at the time and my dad still remembers her yelling out "daddy, daddy i found a knife!"...he was trout fishing in the creek and said he thought to himself sure you did hunny, but yes she defintely did find a knife! lol

Here it is...

The sheath is the same that the knife was found in way back in the 60's.

As you might be able to make out, the knife was made by H. Boker & Co and has the famous knife town of Solingen engraved under it.

So far there is absolutely no knife i have found that you could compare to this and while my dad and i have spent quite a bit of time researching it, we can't come up with anything.

Thanks for any help you can give me! I would love to track down the history of this amazing knife for my dad and my sister.

Thanks for the replies...thought it was just the boker sight at first (which did help me identify that it was probably made between 1924-1935), but i see it's a forum. Will definitely check that out!

Just guessing but it looks like a WWI German sawtooth bayonet that someone cut the blade down on and changed the hilt and handle. Are there any other markings on it like a crown over a W?
