Need help removing internal lock on 686 performance center

I am not a gun smith by any stretch but need step by step (simple please) instructions on how to remove my internal lock on this gun. I tried it but when I took off the side plate( I think its the hammer lock piece was loose and I could not pull the trigger. Got scared and put the gun back together. I had no trouble with the j frame model 642,but this spring is different and I didn't want to take a chance on messing up something without help.( All and any help would be greatly appreciated)

It is not that hard to accomplish. There is also a decent video on YouTube, which makes it clear.
Get yourself "The Plug" while you're at it.

This is one of the easiest videos to follow. It's a internal hammer but everything else is the same. Nice relaxing music also, don't fall asleep! You will have a hammer block that will fall out but it's easy to lay it back in.
