It is a 686-6 357 mag 4" in a blue box.
The end label has under features the following:
06-A2-MD-GR-8F-SW-SR-FS-CS-ZS.
Product# 164222 s/n DCR70xx.
What does all the letters mean?

The gun is lnib and unfired.
What is the trade or value of this gun?
Any and all help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Gary

06 - six shot
A2 - single action/double action
MD - medium frame
GR - rubber grips
SW - white outline real sight
SR - serrated ramp sight
FS - stainless frame
CS - combat stocks
ZS - satin stainless finish

The product code was for the series manufactured in 2004-2006 with your gun's features.

Thanks Ashlander.
Do you have any estimates on what this gun is worth?

8255 is a ship date of September 12, 2008.

When the 16XXXXX product code prefix came out the "16" stood for guns with the Internal Lock System. It's only been in the last few years that S&W has departed from that practice. (Performance Center guns, lock or no, have always used the 17XXXXX prefix).

S&W used, off-and-on in a sporadic fashion, s/n's that began with a "D" in 2006 thru 2008. Then went back to s/n's that begin with "C" - which they began using in 1994 and continue to do to the present. (This is not including all the various small-run "specials" with unique s/n's).

Worth is something in the $600 to $800 range.
