Need Help With ID

I'm trying to find out some information on my old Smith & Wesson. It's a .38 double action. Serial 162276.

Unfortunately it wasn't working when I got it and I found a couple of broken parts inside.

Anyone know where I might source these parts? I would try Numrich but I need to make sure of the model.

With that serial number, it should be a .38 Double Action, Third Model. Probably shipped about 1886.

Don't forget Jack First, Larry Poppert and Dave Chicoine as parts sources. I'm amazed what Numrich can turn up for oldies, but sometimes the other guys are better bets.

Rick, Those are hard parts to find and are often the ones that are broken. Be sure it's a 3rd model, as later models of the .38 DA are different. Ed.
