Need help with SD40 VE Sights

My roommate has an SD40 VE (I'm a Glock guy myself, but it works for him). For his birthday, I got him a set of TruGlo TFOs for the M&P from Brownell's to put on his pistol (see below). I did a bunch of research, including other threads here, all of which stated that M&P sights fit on the SD40 VE. However, when I opened the box from Brownell's, it had a sticker on it stating 'for SD9 & SD40 excluding VE models'.

What gives? Will they still somehow fit? Is there a different TFO I should get instead? What are y'all's suggestions?

SD and SDVE are the same just different color slides , don't know why Truglo states that. Have read older threads about the same subject and sights fit. The SD series come with Truglo Fiber Optic sights the VE series have plastic white dots

Don't worry, they'll fit just fine.

My guess is that the sticker is referring to the 3rd Gen Sigma Series pistols such as the SW9VE and SW40VE, which have a different front sight arrangement similar to Glocks.

My SD9 and SD40 have HI-VIZ sights.

Thanks I'm corrected I get the two mixed up . I have Hi Viz fiber optics on my M&P 2.0 and Truglo on my Shield
