Don;

The standard S & W reference book lists this product code as a 3" heavy barrel square butt model 60. Serial number prefix AEW is listed as produced in approximately November 1984, and the Special Order code 4251 indicates it was ready to ship on September 7 (the difference between the two times is not unusual for S & W, as the production date is only an estimate). So this all fits with one of the Jovino model 60s from 1984.

Finally, I have not seen a six-shot model 60...I don't know what to say about that :). Hope this is helpful.

I agree with Alan . . . as usual . . . the box is clearly for a Jovino 3" Model 60 square butt. IF the gun itself is a six shot, what is the serial number on the butt . . . does it match the box?

A picture or two would sure tell us the story.
