Those appear to be the same type that came on my Model 38.
Those appear to be a "semi-high horn" which came on the older Mod 38. If you compare those to any other J frame grips you will see the horn is just a little taller but not as tall as mod 40/42 high horns!

Here's my Model 42 which may help illustrate the point...Mine is a very early (S/N 123XX) example with the extra lockscrew on the upper sideplate screw, but the stocks are numbered to the frame so I know they're original...If you compare those to any other J frame grips you will see the horn is just a little taller but not as tall as mod 40/42 high horns!

Yessir it does although my poor photography makes it hard to see...Not meaning to hijack the thread, but SCSW 4th edition talks of an extra pin stored under the stocks which Supica says is rarely found...Does any one have a picture of how this pin is stored?...I have mod 42 #12384 that has the "bug screw" on the upper side plate screw(thanks Mike).
