I deleted it when I was aware of the other thread. I purchased the gun from the original poster. I knew nothing about it other that it was a good looking old revolver. I am a Colt DA collector with a few S&W's that grab me like this one did. Thanks for the feedback.

It was shipped 6 Mar 1936 to the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. It was shipped with a 5 inch barrel as evidenced by the address and patent dates on the barrel.

I maintain a database of Heavy Duty serial numbers and this one was in there as being shipped to OK State Pen.
