Need opinions for N frame grips

them troopers are some sweet - I mean, I'm not kidding they blow me away - super nice

TYVM but it's all about Herrett's. When I ordered figured walnut
I had no idea I would get feather crotch. I lucked out. I hope
you do too!

Be aware Herrett's come "semi-finished". They recommend Formby's
"Tung Oil Finish". I didn't like that finish when I tried to use it
and used DemBart "London Oil Finish". Neither of these are true
oil finishes but I know how to use DemBart and you see the results.
A pure linseed finish would be best but that takes patience and
skill, neither of which I have.

Here are the cutdown stocks to which I alluded yesterday, a 5" M27-2 and a 4" M57 no dash. They fit me pretty well...

I received the Ahrends Retro Combat grips that I ordered from Gripseller. Great service from Teri BTW. They are too small for my hands so I'll put the Grippers back on and continue to look. Are the Ahrend Tactical grips about the same circumfrence as the Retro's? The Herrett Jordans look like they might be the way to go for me.

The cut down targets look good. I think reducing the circumference at the bottom of the grip would enhance the feel and pointability. I would hate to start cutting on nice, original target grips though. Maybe looking for some used ones that needed refinishing would be worth a try.
