Need some info on older S&W Pumps-Nickel,Pump?

I have several S&W shotguns and usually define myself as knowledgable on them but a local State Trooper recalls a City Police Department owning some "marine" or brushed nickel S&W riot pumps in the 80s ...either the 3000s or 1000P...Does anyone know if Smith offered a riot style with a different finish as such? other than blue or park?
any info greatly appreciated

Yes, I believe they were model 916s in stainless. 3 were sold, a couple of yrs. ago, at an auction in Kansas , consigned by a Florida resident who said they were sold there for boat owners use, and bought by S&WCS members at the auction. Ed #15
