Hello everyone I'm looking at a 627-5 performance center with a 5 inch bbl at what I think is a very good price. It's in excellent condition with box, I would like to know what you guys think about the revolver itself. The pros and cons of it would be appreciated, I have a 327-5 that I love more than I thought I would,so on closing any info you have is appropriate, the asking price is $960cnd. Thanks

I bought one last year, but shot it for the first time last week at an ICORE match. Did OK, considering never having shot the gun and having no idea where it was shooting - I do crazy things like that occasionally.

Love the gun - what's not to like about a 5" N-frame? Mine may have been worked on because the D/A trigger felt pretty good - I know some people will credit the PC for that, but I have yet to find a PC gun with a trigger this good. The interchangeable front sight is a nice plus also, but I kind of like the gold bead for all-around shooting. If this were to become a regular in my competition gun rotation, the front sight would be FO and the rear a Bowen Rough Country.

As I said - it's hard to go wrong with a 5" N-frame. If it is mechanically sound go for it. Your $960 Canadian translates to appx $730 US, so yes - a very good deal.

Mine...

I exclusively only shoot 38 shorts out of mine. And never shoot SA.
Outta box , it was ...good. But , it wasn't until I tried the shorts , did trigger work and worked on the muzzle, that i got to like it.
Also, the force cone is sensitive to bullet profile. Or so i noted. And depending on if they were magnums or specials. But definitely good on rn 9mm nosed ones. Fp or SWC weren't doing so well? Ofcourse, that's subjective.
I cannot speak of factory ammo. Mine never got any. 11,000+ rounds so far. Still ticking...
