I have been very tired, little more short of breath (but I have only 1 lung & it has COPD)& hurting for some time now...but a Cat scan had shown nothing some months (5 or 6) back... I started feeling pressure inside my chest in my lung... so we repeated the Cat scan 2 weeks ago...showed 2 new large tumors that must have started off right after the last Cat scan... My doc has me on Opdivo now... it works thru the body's immune system... So far I'm tolerating it well. He was worried about that. That being said.. I'm going to fight for every day that He'll give me... according to His Will...

Not sure when I'll be back on guys... but I know that I'll have your prayers helping me... The Almighty has graced me with over 17 years of life since they found my cancer the 1st time in Dec of 1999...Truly he has been generous & merciful to me & I give thanks for all that He has done for me...

Stay strong in the Lord Bub, and you're right, He is generous and merciful! We'll be praying for your pain management as well,,you're a lot tougher than most!

Thoughts& prayers for you.

I just passed 1 year on a clinical trial for an immuno therapy & my tumor has shown slight shrinkage. Hope yours works.

They don't tell me a lot but like yours, my Dr. seemed concerned about tolerance. So far just a lot of itching.

Hang in there. My chemo quit on me back in December, but after a month's break (unintended, insurance screwed me), it is slowly getting a new hold. No one can explain that.

But that perhaps undeserved optimism aside, I'm sending my best to you. We each get up in the morning with the hope that the docs and researchers have a new tool in the bag for us.

I am taking Opdivo to prevent recurrence. Almost 3 months in, I'll have fresh scans done in late March or April. So far no side effects. Keep in mind, a little over a year ago they were reporting that President Carter had a large, inoperable tumor on the brain and had had one removed from his liver. He is now free of disease after a year of immunotherapy. Good luck!

Praying for miracles and hope and strength for all of you who are struggling with cancer. I've heard real good things about opdivo and other immune mediated medicines that keep coming out. Put your faith in the Lord and you know that God is good and merciful and He will give you the love and strength you need to recover. I will keep praying for your better health and for your families who give you the support and strength that lifts you up when you're down. Keep on truckin'

What I do is pray and meditate on these: Is. 53: 4-5 Mat 8:17 I Pet 2:24 and Hebrews 13:5 all in the Amplified translation if possible. We will pray for you today. I am trusting that you have made Jesus your Lord-not just a religion(?) Best Regards.
