Hey all.

I was doing a bit of cleaning today on my m65 with 3 inch barrel and I found a crack in one of my grip panels. I have the factory round butt (j-frame style) checkered grips with silver medallion.

I thought I'd look at some other grips that might look and feel better than these. I also use a Tyler's with them too.

I'd like to see some other grips before buying anything. If you have a round butt K-frame, how about posting some pics of yours with nice grips on them? It doesn't matter if they're rubber, I'm thinking about a set of those too.

What have you found to be comfy and give you good control when shooting .357 mag loads?

If you have a grip panel like mine sitting in your parts bin, how about selling it to me? The one that's cracked on mine is the left grip, the one that's on the same side as the cylinder swings out on.

Any help you can give will be appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Larry

All are K or L frame with round butt. As you can see, I'm fickle and change grips often.

You sent me a PM inquiring about the VZ grips. I tried to respond but your in-box is full and won't take more. Here's my response:

Depends on the factory grips being compared. The VZ's "pinky finger" portion extends exactly 1/2 inch below the grip frame at the forward tip of the grip, arcing up to meet nearly flush with the bottom rear of the frame. Since the bottom rear of the frame is the primary issue for concealment, the VZ's don't really present a problem there.

Not even sure who makes these? They were on the gun when I bought it. No markings on the inside of grips, so??? Anyway, I like em... they feel good enough.

Why not change those Spegel's from your possession to mine? Just got on his list, but I'd take yours. LOL

Adios,

Pizza Bob

I lucked into them on the "other" S&W forum when posted for sale. They are absolutely the most comfortable grips I own.

My educated guess is Badger, based on the laminated wood and finish.

No 3" for me, but I do like Herrett RKR on my 66-2. It came to me with Goodyears, that are lying around somewhere. Bob
