Need your your help on choosing what kind of cell phone that gets internet and GPS on it. I need one in the price range of between $50 but no more than $100-please.
Don't all smart phones these days have GPS? Who is your carrier?
Any smart phone will be GPS capable but there are no $50 smart phones. You can get prepaid smart phones for around $100 but I don't know how their GPS would work since it eats data.
Who is your cell phone provider now? I just got my dad a the LG K10, priced at $150. Not a bad phone for him. And not a bad phone overall if you are not looking to do the latest and greatest. But as far as I know it's only sold through AT&T.
If you have not bought a phone I a long time it works a little different today. Now the companies finance the phone to you until you pay off the full price. At which point you then just pay your plan. While you are financing the phone the payments are spread out over 2 years. The more expensive phones are $30/month on top of your service plan. That's not a bad option. I just got a new phone which is $30/month and my monthly bill is $75 with the phone.
My dad's phone was only $150 so I just payed cash for it. However if I were to have financed it it would have been something like $7/month

All smartphones do. Many new smartphones are cheap or free when signing a service contract.
But for just a phone... you can pick up used iPhones like the 4 and others for $100. With my old iPhone 4s the GPS/Navigation works without cell service. Just use a wi-fi connection, ask for directions, and then it's all loaded on the phone for that trip. After that, the GPS works just like a Garmin while you're driving. That said, there is no rerouting or any changes you can make to the route unless you reconnect to another wi-fi service.

GPS does not use data, the navigation apps that come with the phones is what uses the data. You can download navigation apps which let you pre-download maps and use those rather than data.
Yes but at that point it's just a digital map, not navigation. You have to look for roads where you need to turn. It may be fine forcyou but as a business I don't think passengers want you look for the roads, checking mileage, possible missing turns and turning around

I have yet to use any ride share but I use my GPS often. If you don't go anywhere new you don't need one.I seldom have any need for GPS, as I have yet to use Uber or any of the rideshare services. Rarely I use a Garmin GPS in my car (which I bought at a garage sale for $10).
