With WEP is gone, I received my back payment earlier this month. Today is my day for SS money, and they paid me the WEP rate. Sigh.

The way I saw it explained. SS is always a month behind, so our March non WEP payments are actually received in April. Remember, we are dealing with .GOV here.

^^^ Correct. The payment in March was for February at the old rate. The payment in April will be for March at the new rate.

got a surprise direct deposit amount for back due in early March and then a notification of monthly increase of $360 starting in April.

Yes, you guys are spot on. I just ran the numbers going back to my first payment last year. The make-up money for this March was in the big payment.

I was pleasantly surprised at amount of the increase as most of my quarters came after my retirement from my city job.
