Never Quit Learning

Sometimes if you hold the stock panel at an angle to the light you can make out a faint serial number. Unfortunately, sometimes the stock has become so dark inside that the pencil mark just isn't bold enough to read.

It's possible those are replacement stocks and were never numbered.
How's the fit on the bottom of the butt?
- they are era correct so that's a good thing. That's a cool M&P snubbie!

VM,

Thanks for your reply and compliment on the M&P.

The fit on the bottom is much better than the horn, but still not the quality of factory fit in 1948. With observations and insights from both you and Lee, I'm convinced they are replacements and were never numbered . . . in pencil, stamped or even stenciled :o

I can now cancel that eye doctor appointment :D
