I also received my handle today in the mail. I haven't had a change to get it installed but it is nice to see made in the USA on something again.

I recieved a silver one yesterday and swapped the latch over and it fits and functions perfect! Thanks tacticool22!!! So much better than that plastic one!

Got mine today and tried to put in and it fits real tight.. So tight that I have to force it in and pull on it to remove. Any suggestions ???

There have been a couple other uppers molded narrower than "standard" for some reason.
Draw some lines all around the long part of the handle with a sharpie to see where it rubs. So far it is just the widest part, at the skinny ribs. You can use some fine sand paper or a stone to remove the anodizing until it fits right, or you can send it back for a refund.
I designed these to have minimum slop in the uppers, but to not be too tight.

Mine was that tight also. I put the original back in & noted it was very loose, with lots of slop. I lubricated the new one real well & put it back in and that helped greatly. Seems to be fine now but will sand it down if necessary.

Handle looks and feels great and but was a little tight also. NDZ latch fits just right and looks like a perfect match however with the handle being tight, doesn't slide as smoothly as I would like. Will work on it this weekend to loosen it up a bit.

Mine was pretty snug on install. I pulled it and gave it a thin coat of CLP then reinstalled. With the mag out, I charged the bolt in and out about 25 times and now the handle works so smooth it might as well have been custom fitted to my rifle.

I received mine this morning, fast shipping. I have installed it and it works great! Very well done, perfect finish and definitely gives a positive feeling charging it. This is the best modification I have ever done on my 15-22. Now if only I could replace the latch too. Any suggestions guys!

I just heard back from one of the people who had a tight charging handle.
There was a bunch of crud in the channel because of the excessive clearance from the stock handle. They cleaned the channels out with a plastic pick and *** is as it should be.

How close are we to FDE?.... Which FDE are you trying to duplicate...PRI ?, DD ? KAC ??.. Just for the record my big boy Colt has 9 different brands of FDE (DD, PRI, BCM, Grip Pod, SureFire, Magpul, BFG, D&H Tactical and B5 Systems) and none of them match 100%.

You should've just stuck with black and silver.
Nah. The Red and Blue look AWESOME. The color difference is very subtle against the black.

Yeah, if my rifle was black I definitely would've gone with a blue or red handle, but since I have the Academy Sports OD green gun, silver was my only option.

What kind of trouble is the FDE giving you?... Again i will ask, is there a certain brand FDE you are trying to duplicate?

There are technical issues with anodizing. You can't anodize any color easily. Right now I am just trying to get a decent brown to fill the orders.
