Hello everyone. I've been lurking for awhile on here. Picked up my 15-22 two weeks ago from the Marine Corps Exchange. I should have gotten this first instead of my KAC SR-15 (very expensive to play with). Already put over 500 rounds Federal Value Pack through with no FTF, or FTE. Currently have her setup with Magpul FDE BUIS, Vortex Strikefire Red/Green and swapped the Buttstock with the SR-15. Question is I can't decide on whether to get a bipod specifically a T-PodG2PR or a VMX3 Magnifier. I currently shoot at an indoor range (25y)as I'm waiting on my outdoor range membership to go through in Dec, once that is finalized it will be all outdoor 50/100 yard ranges. Just trying to decide which item will benefit me the most now since I plan on getting both anyway.

Another welcome from VA.
People love the 15-22 and I have to agree it's a lot of fun.
Especially when you are shooting 100+

And a warm welcome from "wild and wonderful " West Virginia at least that's what they tell us.

and do you get any kind of discount form the exchange.also at 100 yards do you need maginification then shoot with one eye, or would you rather be more steady that is what you need to ask yourself, and the is your decision.

Clevelandborn also didn't the Strikefire come with a 2x magnifier my Vortex Sparc came with one along with different size base.

My Vortex has the 2x magnifier also. I think I'll wait on the magnifier to see if I need it first. Gonna go with the bipod. Only thing at the exchange we get is tax free, which really isn't a deal sine they mark the price on firearms up.

Welcome .
Im not a real big fan of the Bi pods for accuracy work, that and they clutter the gun up some.
If Im looking to do accuracy work, I perfer the self standing tripods with an attached sand bag. They are adjustable up and down and you lay your foregrip on the bag, maybe some bags under your shoulder stock if you want and you have something that is really stable.
With this, you can also use on any of your other riflers and even pistols if you want to.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum. I have a good friend lives in VA. Beach!

Welcome from Kansas! Sounds like you have big plans for your 15-22 and I'm sure it will live up to them (within reason). Lager's suggestion of the tripod instead of the bipod is a good one except for maneuverability. If you decide to go that way remember the sandbag (or something heavy) is very important to assure stability. I use such a setup for photography and it makes a huge difference.

welcome from the hampton roads area! enjoy your 15-22. she is a fun gun to shoot

Well, no matter where you shoot, you will enjoy this little beauty, alot of fun on the cheap. If I shot it's big brother (M & P 15T) as much as I do the 15-22, I would need a second job to afford ammo.

Welcome! I'm in Virgina Beach. You should head out to C2 shooting center in Pungo. Best outdoor range I've been to so far.
