I just got it. Good condition 19-6. Serial number KN6xxx. Looking for the year it was made and value. Thanks!

Mine is a 19-5 from 1982. Your gun is a bit later, but I don't have the book at hand. . .probably late 1980's. If the gun is in 98% condition or better, they tend to bring close to $800 these days; and, that's without the box or papers. The one I got had the factory grips, but I put a pair of Altamonts on it. When I can't afford another pair of the original combat stocks, I go with Altamonts.

I gave 500. Those grips look good.

I got a pristine 19-5 snub last December. There was no box or papers but it has original round butt magna stocks. I paid $500 for mine. M19 snubs are quite uncommon around here and asking prices on those is usually well above $500 for well used examples. Since these are pretty stylish revolvers and not likely to be ever made again, it seems logical to assume prices on these will continue to rise.

You both did good at $500. I wish I could find a shooter/carry gun for that price. I paid $800 for mine, but it's kind of a safe queen.

Thanks. He had some 4"s but sold those before I could afford one.

Are you sure about that serial number? Should be 3 letters & 4 numbers. Can you provide all but the last two numbers?

I had the 66 version and loved it. Very accurate and carried well. My son has it now. Good deal for you. Good luck.

Nice 19! All it needs is a set of wood stocks to make it really stand out! (only my opinion) Enjoy it! Bob

I have a set of 19 k frame grips.I don't know what there worth. Round but k frame

I have the exact same gun as a 19-7. What the engineering change from 19-6 to 19-7?

I picked up a nice 19-6 about 15 years ago before the prices started going up, I paid $250 for it at a pawn shop. the serial # on mine is #BEC4XXX, any body have a date of manufacture? I have seen a few pictures of 19-6 snubbies and mine is the only one I have seen with a red insert on the front sight, is that unusual?

Casey
