I just placed an order with Buds for a new Smith and Wesson 1911E. This will increase my family of S&W handguns to include my M&P40, M&P45, M&P22c and now this one. I am pretty excited about this most recent purchase and cant wait for the new weapon to arrive.

Think You Will Really Like It

I will hazard a guess that you will love your new 1911. I have several Kimbers and one 1911sc "E" Series with the rounded butt. I have found it to be accurate and well functioning. Has handled every type of ammo I have been able to put through it, but is exceptionally nice handling and clean using Speer Lawman 230 FMJ. Its my range ammo of choice if I can locate it without it costing an arm and leg.
I added a set of Antelope stag grips to mine made by Sarge's just to personalize it a little. When I am not carrying one of my S&W revolvers, this is usually my go to gun when I am out and about.

Safe shooting to you.

I got the stainless version. That ones badass with those new grips. This will be my "dress up" gun. You know, out with the wife, nicely dressed and a stainless 1911 to finish things off!!!!<g>

I love the stag grips and was wondering what they cost and does Sage's make them to sale. I just got the new SC and it's a lot of 1911 for the money. Thanks for the info.

Good choice. The E-series is the best value today for a full-feature 1911.

They look great without going over-the-top (like Kimber). And I like the beefy external extractor because....1. It works. 2. It's a big "neener neener neener" to the traditionalists.

Shoot it a lot!

I too chose the SC with the rounded butt. Mine is the two tone. It has fired everything I have loaded it with. I even mixed ammo in the same mag to try and make it choke and failed. On top of that, it is the most accurate semi I have shot, narrowly beating out my Sig P226 Elite Dark .40.
