NEW 1911'S FOR S&W

I was at S&W today, saw the new 1911's. The
3 1/2" was black stainless over Scandium 24 oz.
7 + 1 Officers frame w/ vertical serrations on the front strap. It had ROCO grips ala PRO SERIES, Novak 3 dot combat sights. The 9MM was
a full size stainless w/ the wavy slide serrations like the PC1911. 10 + 1 magazine, also had ROCO grips and was pro-series. 30lpi checkering on front strap 3 dot white non nite sight
NOVAK sights rounded out the package. I wanted to take them both home but they said no way.
They should be out before the SHOT SHOW maybe in Jan. ???

Oh my, that sounds very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing those. Might as well start saving up my pennies now...

I'm not crazy about front cocking serrations but I love the Officer's frame size for carry. The 9mm would be very handy for the range for practice. I think I'm going to put both of these on my wish list. So many guns, so little money.

If they're going to make an Officer's sized scandium frame, maybe I'll get my dream S&W 1911, a scandium Officer's sized frame with a stainless Commander upper.

If there is indeed an officer frame /w commander slide, my dad will own one. If he won't see to it, I will.

The one I saw was 3 1/2" but i'm sure they will have more configurations later.
