New 340 M&P Back to S&W

Old cop,

I hate to be the one to bring up this possibility since I'm an old, retired cop myself, but it may be that you're just terribly unlucky when it comes to purchasing new handguns. ;)

I am also unlucky with purchasing new handguns. For example:

Ruger New Vaquero when they first came out- Recall

Ruger LCP when they first came out- Recall

Colt 1911 re-issue 1918 model- Recall

New handguns I purchased over the last two years:

SIG P229 SAS .40 S&W
Taurus PT 738 TCP .380 ACP
Smith & Wesson M&P 340 .357 Magnum
Smith & Wesson PC 627 UDR .357 Magnum
Beretta Px4 Storm Type G full-size .40 S&W
Beretta 85FS Cheetah .380 ACP
FNH FNX-40 .40 S&W
Heckler & Koch P2000 SK .40 S&W

Eight handguns, zero problems. Am I lucky or are you fellas unlucky? :D

I don't purchase new handguns. I believe the only two I have ever purchased new were;

Walther P22
S&W M&P 9

and last week, a S&W 642 for my wife. Zero issues with any of them.

Thanks for the clarification on the problem. I checked my M&P and it does not do that.

You need to play the lottery, my friend! ;)

Xtrooper: You could be right about my luck. My Colt Cobra, purchased new in 1968, still works great and the 442 (no lock circa 1992) also works fine.

I'm in my middle 60's so there is hope my luck will change, but I'm not playing poker anytime soon.

Hahaha Well, I'm hoping the best for you, amigo. :)
