I recently won this pre-war Outdoorsman at auction and was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived today. The auction photos were nice quality high resolution shots but made with a very bright flash. Every little detailed flaw stood out like a sore thumb under that bright light ! I had hoped it was better than it looked in the photos and sure enough it is a very decent gun. There is muzzle wear and scratches which the metal holster snap rubbed on the side plate, but the very reasonable price made it all worthwhile !

The gun may originally have come with a grip adapter. The numbered grips have a very thin plastic (old) shim perfectly matched to the frame. You cannot see it at all until you remove the grips.

This one will be a great shooter ! I am very pleased !

I'd be pleased too! That's a very nice shooter - one you could even take out on Saturday night! Regards, Jerry

Looks very nice to me, Jerry. Congrats!

I gotta get me one of those...

I got one like it and an original 5" barrel to boot that I'll trade you for your Bowen gun.

Seriously, Jerry, you are the poster child (ah-hum) for N-Frame-itis. One day, there might be a telethon for guys like you.
