I won an auction for a 586 that is in good condition. Serial number aub8xxx. It looks like it is from 1980, and there is no dash number after it. I do know that there was a modification made if you shipped the gun to the factory where they stamped the M on it. I don't know if it has that modification, but can it be made now? Is it something that is necessary?
The description of the gun says: 586 SMITH & WESSON LIKE NEW 357 magnum . 586 no dash. This gun is like new with two sets of grips and a free speed loader!! This 586 is a 6 inch blued in 98% almost no wear on this gun ,a faint roll mark, and very light show of use
I think I got a pretty good deal $555 for it, assuming the gun is just like the description says. I have been lucky so far in the past, so hopefully my luck with continue.
And the obligatory pictures.
