New 629

After wishing and wanting for over 20 years, I picked up my new 6 inch 629 today from my local dealer. Even had the opportunity to fire it. What a blast, this is my second S$W purchase this year, the first being a full size 1911 and both are excellent, fun and accurate out of the box.

Congratulations on your purchase. I, too, recently picked up a new 629 5". After reading many of the forum comments, I figured I was going to have to wear a bag over my head when shooting a post-lock model, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that it accurately launched a bullet every time I pulled the trigger, just like the old days!

The more I dig into the reloading possibilities of the .44, the more I'm appreciating the versatility of the 629.
