Sold the Terrier and got the 638, shot it today for the first time. 5.5 grs Unique with 125 gr swc. Shot high but comfortable. Don't mind the recoil at all and all shells ejected smoothly with no sign of pressure. think I will not go higher though, no need. I just loaded some 155 gr swc and maybe it will shoot to poi. I like being able to shoot the single action and still light weight. Agree or disagree?

I'm on record as liking the Bodyguard, and the hammer has a distinct advantage in my opinion, but it's not for single action shooting. I think shooting a gun like this single action is so low on the priority list, and to train that way isn't optimum to me. The hammer provides a way to function check the gun when loaded without having to touch the trigger, which is a huge advantage over the Centennial design.
I hope you like your M638, it is an absolute classic lightweight pocket gun.
BTW - now that you sold your Terrier, does this mean you will be changing your handle... ?

I sure like my 38-2 but I don't use the single action very often. I shoot a 637 a lot and tend to use the single action with it more often.

Yes, since I'm on a diet thought I would change it to "airweight". I do feel better, now if I can just shoot better.
