New Addition to my knives

I am a fan of 18th-century American knives, originals and reproductions.
This is a recent addition with the knife hand forged by Frank House and the sheath and quill work from Lally House. This is about as good an example of that genre as you will see

some detail shots

here are a few detail shots. The sheet is brain-tanned deer hide, sewn with sinew, The quills are hand-dyed with natural vegetable dyes. The quills are folded into the patterns and stitched in at the corners of the folds with sinew. Lots of work but very authentic Eastern Woodland technique

It had never occurred to me that such knives were still being made. Do you have originals in your collection as well? If so, where do you find them, and how about some pix?

Onomea, I have two knives probably from the second half of the 19th century. One is from a friend, the other an antique shop. There are knife shows but the collector prices would put Rock Island Auction to shame
