New Adoptee-- S&W 624 no dash, 3" Combat Grips

WELCOME TO THE FORUM. THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL REVOLVER, IN A VERY SOUGHT AFTER CALIBER......

BTW---YOU DID ACTUALLY STEAL IT ! ! !

When I bought my 24-3 I paid 750 for it. At the time I thought I was getting a decent deal. In looking here I did but these revolvers have appreciated pretty well. My 24-3 4" bbl probably is the finest 44 special revolver made for the 44 special cartridge. Which does not recoil all that much. Even with the WW 200 grain load. Have a set of pin guages so will check out the cylinder throats and see what they are and buy a box or two commercial cast bullets and see how well they shoot. The 624 6.5" bbl feel like a 22 even with the WW 200 grain load. The 4" will get a SDM gold bead font sight. Will give me something to focus on. Those all black front sights I find difficult to use.frank

Awesome price, I would not have blinked an eye and probably broke his arm handing him the money so hard and fast!!

@tlawler , I appreciate the info and the contact. Ill definitely give him a call and see what he has to say. Ill post an update. Thanks everyone for the great comments! It almost makes me want to go back and give the guy more money.....almost....

Just to give you an idea of what a good deal you made: the 624LH that I mentioned in my post for $850 had pachmyers on it and didn't come with the original combats. Those grips alone usually go for $200 and up!
