What's with all the new advertising on the Forum. It's taking too long to load and takes away from the enjoyment of reading the posts.

It's a way the forum generates funds to keep going. They gratefully accept donations from forum members but the income from the ads is important. MOD's, if that's not a correct answer please change and delete my answer. Thanks.

They pay the bill for upholding this eminent forum :o

Well I guess maintenance of the forum isn't free. Owner(s) have to pay for hosting etc...

You can get rid of most of the advertising by becoming a Bronze member. Click on the "Donations" button near the top of this page.

I imagine "all" instead of "most", if one would offer full recompense for the lost income to the forum.

I do notice you merely have to let your cursor pass over SOME of the ads and they will take on a life of their own with no "click" at all.

Cowart has it correct - for .08 cents per day you can eliminate all but the leaderboard ad in the nav-bar.

Either way - we are just glad you are here.

Was surprised to see the new ads in the middle of a posting!
It looked like the poster added some pictures which didn't seem to relate to his post. (iPad)

You shouldn't see those anymore, unless you are not logged in. I was working on them this morning, and for a period of time they were showing up for regular users who were logged in. They are not supposed to, and shouldn't any more.
