New Bits

Well, phew that was a bit of a mission.

Got hold of a BAD*** Ambi safety and a Magpul Enhanced Mag release, thought id do the quick job of replacing the new bits.

That safety would not come out, tried the 45' thing, wouldn't come out , tried removing the grip and the detent, still wouldn't come out.

Then i remembered one of the things about the Hiperfire trigger was that you could install it without removing the safety. So i removed the FCG and lo and behold the safety pops right out, easy. (i am not a gunsmith )

Gave me a good chance to give the FCG a good clean and the inside of the lower. So in the end it was beneficial. Then reassembled all the bits. The ambi safety is great (thanks Keith) and the Magpul mag release means i don't have to stretch or change position on the grip to drop the mags. (which i didn't anyway but now i am convinced i did )

What i like most is the addition of more metal over polymer parts, it makes the rifle seem so much more...substantial.

Only the barrel to go to get shortened now. Then, finally she will be finished.

There is no such thing as done!
I don't see a brass deflector, the grip is still stock, no ambi mag release....
Then of course there are lasers and flashlights and bipods and on and on....................
