I just love all the "new" snake oils. I enjoy looking them up and reading all the hype!

Breakthrough® Military-Grade Solvent

I just wish I was smart enough and had the capital to start my own company! I need brand Ambassadors!

For only $9.00 you can get a 2oz bottle.
How they can claim it is "Non-flammable (Flashpoint of 150F)"?? I have no idea.

It is NAPHTHA! Which is lighter fluid.

Listed as a flammable/combustible liquid.

I have a quart of it in the garage.

It's $95 per gallon if you need a lot of it. Or one can go to Wal Mart or Home Depot and buy a gallon of mineral spirits for less than $10. BTW, there is indeed a military grade of mineral spirits. It's called PD-680 (now MIL-PRF-680) available in five grades having different levels of volatility and flash point. It is used for parts cleaning. The USAF uses it for gun cleaning at its ranges, among other uses.

I have a container of Ronsonol lighter fluid, it is naphtha. Had it a long time, so I guess I am set with the latest "tactical" "military grade" solvent.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Businesses love using the term "military grade". 21 years in the Marines tells me that military grade stuff is bottom of the barrel and purchased due to cost savings (cheap).

How is this for military grade: I used the 15/40 oil that our vehicles take to lubricate machine guns for years... guns just have to be stripped and cleaned before storage.

Sure, just don't eat them.

Nah, of course you can eat them here is their claim::D

  • Non-toxic
  • Non-staining
  • Odorless
  • Non-flammable (Flashpoint of 150F)
  • Removes all fouling
  • No residue
  • Made in the USA
  • Truly pH neutral, which means its safe on your firearm’s wood, plastics, polymers, cerakote and/or hydroprinting

And if you eat them, will they taste good?:D

And will you stay away from the crapper the normal amount of time after eating them?

Edit. These little things matter.:D
