During the base exchanges construction I was impressed by its size. It had its grand opening yesterday and I went in there today. My heart sank as i realized there was no increase in floor space and if anything, it was smaller. Walking the isles I was rapidly losing hope about finding a scope for my rifle until I got to the far corner of the bx. My wife said my eyes popped open like a kid in a candy store. There was ammo, rifles and handguns.
Never in my 16 years here did I think the bx would ever have a decent sporting goods section, let alone a firearms section! Springfield armory 1911 for less than $600, Bushmaster AR15 for $900. Marlins and Rugers and Smiths...Taurus and Mossbergs and yes even a HiPoint 9mm. for a small area they had a wide variety of firearms ranging from $120- $2000. Something for everybody. I was right about one thing though, their shipment of scopes hadn't come in yet. Gee I'm going to have to go back there now.
