I have wanted a Threepersons Floral Holster for my 1911s for a long time, so when Ray at Lobo Gun Leather, started his current line, I ordered one.
In addition to the looks, there is a distinct advantage to this holster in that the carving makes it impossible to closely fit the holster to a particular pistol. Since 1911 makers tend to have their own ideas about things like trigger guard shape, what fits one "boned" holster may not fit another.
I have shown it here with my SV Infinity which has an extended dust guard, no saddle cuts, and a square trigger guard. This holster fits this SV-I very well and at the other end of the spectrum fits a 1943 Colt 1911 A1 also.
The retention strap is set for hammer down carry, but fits almost as well for cocked and locked, and swivels totally out of the way when not needed.
I now await the design of a floral magazine pouch to make a set.

Thanks for the reference. I went to their website and they seem to have what I am looking for at a reasonable price.

I really like yours. I had Alphonso build me this one about 37 years ago. I couldnt afford it nowdays! Tonight I was going through some old paperwork and I found where I paid alphonso $55s to make that holster and belt in the early 1970s!
