New Compact .22; first thoughts

I just bought the Compact for the wife for valentines day. Haven't got it to the range yet. Did you guys need to clean/oil before first trip?

I did a quick clean up on mine before its first range visit; plus it gave me a chance to go thru the manual and strip it down as well to get a good basic understanding of this one compared to my MP 9's.
Note (per the manual anyway) it only lists a couple spots for oil

Sweet Little Shooter

Bought one of these for my wife to use as her CCW. She loves it and she is a "Dead Eye" with it too. Gun is a lot of fun to shoot and very accurate! Have put about 600 rounds through it so and not one failure.

Hey everyone.. For those of you that have the "suppressor ready" model... Do you have issues with the adapter thread protector coming loose while firing?

I can't get mine tight enough by hand to stop it from working loose.

Took my new .22C to the range for the first time today and loved it. It is my first .22. The only problem is that the .22 ammo seems to disappear a lot faster that the 9mm ammo. That happen to anyone else?

Indeed. My SW22 is a magician when it comes to making long rifles disappear.

I don't have a problem with any of my 22's making ammo disappear. Making some "appear" that is the problem in my neck of the woods.

not wanting to side track the thread; but as its mine guess it is ok lol.

FYI Cabelas off and on throughout the week has had minimags available online, 5 pack limit. Not enough for free ship unless you have a store nearby, but they have been popping up on there.

I've had my .22 Compact for close to a year now, I think, and it is an awesome little fun gun. Never a hitch, always goes bang, and fun to shoot to boot.

Congrats!!!
Remington bulk green box gunked up my 22C barrel....spent hours getting the barrel cleaned out. I would stay away from it!!
