New dangerous stuff from Fedx

A little Karma there Yendor. Actually my spelling is pretty good... My typing...not as well...Esp on a tablet sitting up, kinda, in bed. My fingers don't fit the keyboard Fed Ex dropped it on the porch. As far as that postmaster..I can guess you DON"T work for USPS. Postmasters are responsible for firearms shipped through them. Or so I was told.. by my neighbor...a postmisstress. . What seems to be wrong to me...is dropping a package on a porch...taking a picture and not even ringing the bell...Proof that it was delivered? Somewhere, I guess. I had a Fed Ex delivery guy drive uo in a black caddy. He jumped out of the car with a package in hand...did say hi...how are you and I'm working for Fed Ex. Is this the right address??. It was kinda funny...we don't see many big black guys in black Caddys on the dirt roads here. It was also funny when he kinda looked at my wife who had been working in the yard with a gun on her belt. I just said...rattlesnakes. OH! he said...He even looked around on the ground before leaving.
I also have to say...my wife is paranoid about snakes...esp rattlers

You didn’t leave it out, Val. But I should. Holier than thou? Sounds rather hypocritical to me

He who casts the first stone Yendor, just saying…

And while I understand your point, it’s their job. And when it comes to firearms, with the tech at their disposal today, they need to be aware of packages like that.

Delivery drivers are not mind readers. They work as directed. It is not UPS’s job nor responsibility to let anyone know what is in every package.

The guy who is getting rifles delivered to the residence he works out of, while he’s gone, should have notified UPS, FedEx, USPS the time period he wasn’t going to be home. That’s on him. Residential deliveries can be made without a signature unless instructed otherwise by the shipper.

Get your facts straight Val. I did NOT cast the first stone. I did NOT start this thread by criticizing and insulting delivery drivers. That came from a bunch of malcontents some of whom know very little of the delivery service industry. I have, and always will, come to the defense of decent, honest hard working delivery drivers.

And that’s alright, I know they work hard (at least most of them) and as stated in my earlier posts, UPS is my go-to when I ship firearms and like items.

Your “you can’t even spell sorry” was uncalled for IMO. So as far as getting “facts straight,” I don’t see how Skeet deserved that? As you can prob tell, this is a pretty even-handed friendly forum, so I’d keep the comments like that to yourself regardless of how you perceive delivery drivers and customers opinions of them. There’s nothing wrong with meaningful discussion but I’d recommend keeping the low-brow commentary out of it.

According to UPS... firearm delivery is the responsibility of the location manager.. I know things don't always go by the book...but guns should not be dumped on a porch somewhere. They are delivered Next day air...at least that is what it's supposed to be UPS put those rules in effect because of theft in warehouses and by delivery guys. They are supposed to be delivered to a person or in the business...not left standing up on a porch. . I kinda like one of my fairly local Fed Ex places. They allow me to ship hazmat as long as they inspect the package. I do not take advantage of the perk very often.. and yes I pay hazmat charges. I last used it to ship 3000 Federal 215 mag match primers to a fellow in January. Almost impossible to find I even paid shipping with Signature. I just go notified I had a packge delivered by UPS...no knock/bell either...but those guys and gals are usually loaded with deliveries every day
