Ordered a handgun on line from Buds Gun Shop that they had in their catolog. Sent payment with a copy of my dealer's FFL.
Three days later Bud's informed me that they had received payment and before they could ship they needed a FFL copy. I responded that I had sent FFL with payment. The next day Bud's said they had found the FFL copy. I asked would They ship that day. Bud's said it would be 7-10 days before they shipped because what I had ordered was a "Special Item".
I have not purchased from Bud's before, so is this normal ?

My last firearm purchase from Bud's took three days to be shipped.

Edit: My purchases were via credit card. Perhaps the cash option takes longer.

Jimmy, that means it is on order, not in stock but available.
At least in my experience. YMMV

Don't know if it is normal, but I do know it would be the last time I did business with them. I placed a special order with US Firearms. Sent the check and a copy of the FFL in the same envelope. They cashed the check, but when I call the month later to see where my guns were they said they needed a copy of the FFL. Got my guns. Great guns. Last time I did business with US Firearms.

I have seen messages on Buds website stating that a particular item was "special purchase", and there would be a delay for before shipping. That might be the case for you gun. I think that would be a reasonable disclosure.
