New family Member

Just picked this up. Remington R1 Enhanced chambered in 45acp.
It came with a set of Magpul grips + the originals, 3 Wilson Combat 8 round magazines + the originals, and a holster and mag pouch from 1791 Gunleather.
The guy is getting into long range rifle shooting and his wife told him that he before he could buy another firearm he had to sell one.
Since he has another Enhanced model but with a threaded barrel and suppressor this one came home with me.

The Remington R1 is a hidden gem in the 1911 world. I have one. Ain't nothing fancy, just a good, reliable pistol that works. Mine has the best out of the box trigger I've ever felt.

Took the Remington R1 and my 4566 and 4006 S&W's out to the range this afternoon. Both the R1 and the 4566 are 45acp and the 4006 is 40 S&W.
The Ri shoots great, has a very nice trigger, and had no problems with my reloads.
R1 - 50 Head shots at 20 feet.
4566 - 50 Chest shots at 20 feet.
4006 - 50 Groin shots at 20 feet.
Had to adjust the 4566 sights a bit and as my hands got tired the groups spread but all and all I'm happy with the results.
