New Federal HST 380 test!!

I finally got to test the new Federal Premium HST 380 in a EAZ---- bodyguard. WOW!! In calibrated gel with 4 layers of denim from 10 feet there was between 11 and 12 inches of penetration with expansion over .625. I shot five rounds, all were just perfect!! Federal has come out with another super HST. It is hard to find, but will be available in 20 and 50 LE boxes, I found the 20 round boxes. They developed the round using short, 2.75 in barrels. Velocity was averaging 950fps using a 99 grain bullet. Yes, the 11 inches is below the FBI minimum, but for a small carry pistol I will except this. This is barn burning performance in a short barrel and the expansion is typical HST. I would feel very secure with these in my students carry weapons. By the way, I also tried these in a LCP and a TCP and a PPK, no issues on feeding.Thanks Federal!!!!!

That's very good for .380, getting that much expansion with 11in penetration. Good velocity too.
