I make a point of never complaining unless I am prepared to do a better job.
Fellas, I did not like it initially either, but am finding as I grow more familiar with it my dislike decreases. (Well, duh!)

Us older, notice I did not say old, fogies are quite often resistant to change. Give it a chance, and you will get used to it.
Hope the member count breaks 300 someday.
I'll reserve judgment until the transition is complete. As of now, I don't see badges for military branches, SWCA, SWHF, NRA, or first responders and the number of your posts shows up as messages.
Love the new forum, thanks for all the work. Ever since obfuscation became fashionable in thread titles (on all forums), having a preview I can look at in full sized print is a great help. Much appreciated.

What happened to the PMs? OK, they're now DMs. As noted above us old folks don't like being surprised by changes.
One positive thing I just noticed - you can attach photos to PMs when sending.
Works fine for me. Find reading easier in dark mode.
Well, they ain't done with it yet. Let's wait a bit before we start denigrating their hard work. I personally am having a little trouble finding things now. But I had the same problem with the old site when I was new. Once I learn where everything is should be no problems. I am already finding it easier to post pics and haven't gotten the blue screen treatment. Those 2 things alone make learning to navigate the new site worth it.
I am twitterpated. If I could I would buy this new format flowers, take it to dinner and a movie and have a good cuddle with it afterwards.

Have a problem with posting pictures in the humor thread. Posted 1 and it automatically added 9 more to the maximum. Only want to post 5, but it wouldn't let me change it. Growing increasingly frustrated
I do hope there will be a way to remove the picture names on the attachment preview pics. I did not see anything in the preferences yet. Also looks like I need a higher resolution pic for my 'avatar', or maybe not.

I must say that the speed of the forum is very impressive at this time.
Haven't "seen" Dick in years. Last I heard he was active on the Ruger Forum, but that was a long time ago.
I bet he would not like it, this change to the new format.
(He was like the main guy here at one time. I think I recall he was unhappy about losing his post count when the forum underwent some sort of earlier change way back when. He was a very prolific poster.)
He sure knew a lot about prewar S&W revos, too, which was my interest at the time. I learned a lot from him.

This is a much more modern platform. I'm on several forums and they all use this software.
Frankly, the old platform was antiquated, this is much overdue upgrade.

I'm going to be upgrading my computer in a couple days, they claim I will be able to simply swap everything right over, hop on top and go dog go. I'm trying to stay ahead of the curve and have been told as of mid year or so the old gear will not be supported. I figure this little change will do me good and give me something to constructively work at. I was just getting the hang of posting pictures on the old system and will see how smoothly this one operate. My red hot system I currently use operating with Intel Gen 7.
